The continuing rush to escape to the country during this time of Covid-19 shows little sign of abating. The remoter and more picturesque, the better, seems to be the mantra. The Rockies loom large as a place to get away from it all and of course, the next logical step to staying at a lodge or renting a mountain retreat is to get a place of your own.

For those with the wherewithal, there are a handful of special places in the Rockies. One of them is Devil’s Thumb Ranch Resort & Spa in Tabernash, Colorado, which lies close to the Continental Divide and to the resort town of Winter Park.
