High Design in the Alps: Two New Swiss Hotels

Every winter, avid European snowboarders head to the linked Swiss ski areas of Flims, Laax and Falera for some of Europe’s best terrain parks and an Olympic caliber half pipe, a south-facing sunny location and some 220 km (136 miles) of pistes. Skiers love the mostly intermediate terrain and those who call themselves experts can try the extensive off-piste areas. For Americans, who head to Zermatt or St. Moritz, this is largely terra incognita.
