Nikon D3400: When You Want To Move Your Photography Beyond A Smart Phone
By Everett Potter
Let’s get the bad news out of the way first. Your smart phone – and I don’t care which one it is, who made it or which iteration you might have – will never take pictures as sharp, focused and defined as a good SLR can. Nor will it allow you to fire off 10, 20 or 30 framed or telescopic variations of a scene in a few seconds. Or allow you to quickly adjust the light, add an effect to saturate color or zoom in on a flower and emerge with a winning image. And then instantly move on and do it all over again with whatever catches your fancy next.
