North Head is where the ferry docks and is the tourism center of Grand Manan Island. These three restaurants are all in North Head, two within walking distance of the ferry.

The Inn at Whale Cove Cottages, North Head

Easily the best restaurant on the island (below, the dining room) and one that could hold its own in a mainland city. As a child, chef Laura Buckley spent summers on the property, which was owned by her mother–some of the buildings go back to 1816 (below). (“Most of my memories are tied up in the kitchen. I mean I was always in it. I loved it.”)
