Travels with Larry Olmsted: 10 Great Movies to Watch on Domestic Flights

I spend a lot of time in the air, and I watch a lot of movies on planes in my iPad. About three years ago I was headed to Las Vegas, and since I usually try to watch something thematically tied to my destination, I decided it would be a good time to finally see The Hangover. I was in the aisle, and when I fired up my iPad, I noticed that the traveler immediately to my left and the passenger in the aisle seat across from me were both watching The Hangover on their laptops. I guess that makes it a pretty popular choice for in-flight entertainment en route to Sin City.
There is no right answer, no single best film for any destination, and I’d love to hear your thoughts on your favorite domestic destination based travel films. In the meantime, here are my picks.
