A room at The Sanctuary Hotel, not bad for $159 a night in Manhattan.
The Deal: The "Dress Rehearsal" rate is good for one of the nine newly-renovated Sanctuary Studio rooms. You get a preview rate that starts at $159 per night as well as “a $50 credit for a future stay when providing feedback to a hotel executive.”
The Backstory: The Portland Square Hotel is being remade as a four-star boutique property called The Sanctuary Hotel. Nine of the 125-rooms have been renovated and feature European linens, 32- to 42-inch plasma televisions and iPod docking stations. Bathrooms have been done in quarried marble and outfitted with rain showerheads. Rates will start at $309 when the entire hotel is ready for primetime in fall 2010.
Caveat: If there’s construction noise, don’t say you weren’t warned.
