THE DEAL: St. Lucia’s Cap Maison and its Cliff at Cap restaurant are now offering a great way for guests to experience their Guest Chef Series on select weekends in 2011. The Chef Series Weekend Package provides 27% savings over published rates. It’s easy to get to St. Lucia on a nonstop from JFK on JetBlue.

THE BACKGROUND: Drawing on its own member affiliation with Preferred Boutique, Cap Maison has invited several top chefs from the kitchens of other Preferred member hotels to cook alongside Executive Chef Craig Jones in his St. Lucia kitchen. This line-up of talented chefs from U.S. resorts who will cook in St. Lucia on select weekends between January and April 2011. Each will present a special menu that blends their signature style with the rich bounty of fresh local ingredients found on this West Indian island, a cook’s paradise thanks to the volcanic rich soil and abundance of fresh seafood.

WHAT’S THE DEAL: The Chef Series Weekend Package is $1,595, per room (not including tax and service), based on double occupancy. In includes 3 nights in a Gardenview Room, daily breakfast at Cliff at Cap, Chef Series Dinner on Friday and Saturday nights. Saturday dinner includes wines paired with the Guest Chef’s menu. Round-trip airport transfers. It’s good January  14 & 15, 2011; February  25 & 26, 2011; and April 8 & 9, 2011.
